The record for being the First solo Indian rider to travel across Mongolia was set by Santanu Roy (born on October 6, 1985) of Siliguri, West Bengal. He travelled across Mongolia in 17 days from July 3, 2019, to July 19, 2019, taking the northern route to reach Ulgii, the western most province of Mongolia. He covered 2100 km with the aim to travel like a nomad and witness Naadam, the national festival of Mongolia, as confirmed on October 1, 2020.
