FIRST PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED TO REACH THE SUMMIT OF MOUNT EVEREST (FEMALE)

Arunima Sinha (24) of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, reached the peak of Mount Everest (8,848m) with an amputated leg, on May 21, 2013. A passing train crushed her left leg, forcing doctors to amputate below the knee to save her life.
