First Indian To Win Best of Bookers.

Sir Salman Rushdie won the Best of the Booker prize  on July 10, 2008 based on an online poll for his book Midnight’s Children . The Best of the Booker is a special prize awarded in commemoration of the Booker Prize’s 40th anniversary in 1993, the Booker of Bookers Prize was awarded to Salman Rushdie for Midnight’s Children (the 1981 winner), as the best novel to win the award in the first 25 years of its existence.
