The record for being the first farmer to be a brand ambassador was set by Kanvarji Ramsinhji Vadhaniya (born on January 1, 1980) of Banaskantha, Gujarat. He introduced a low-cost crop cover module for off seasonal cultivation of cowpea. Matru Seeds Company, Palanpur, nominated him as the brand ambassador for cowpea variety ‘Madhu’, bearing his photograph on the packaging, as confirmed on April 21, 2020.
