Hindustan Motors Mitsubishi Outlander is the first BS-IV certified premium SUV in India to be awarded by ARAI (Automobile Research Association of India) . Mitsubishi Outlander received the “AAEN0339″ certificate on May 30, 2009. Indian Government introduces their Bharat Stage – IV (BS-IV) emission norms including stricter rules and regulations to control pollution due to Auto emissions. To help the future environment, the government has also decided to make it mandatory on all new vehicles sold in the country from the month of April 2010 to follow the BS-IV emission norms.
