Prof. Dr. S Ramesh Babu (born on February 12, 1957) of Bangalore, Karnataka, planted a May Flower bulb (scadoxus multiflorus) in his garden in 2003, which, as of May 14, 2012, has reached to 12 flowers by multiplication, of these 3 flowers have grown to more than 9 Inches in diameter and the biggest flower measured an amazing 1 foot diameter. It has been nurturing only with adequate water and natural manure, no chemical fertilizers used.
