BIGGEST BOLLYWOOD DANCE
Dance is an art that charms every human and drifts their minds away from stress, tiredness and thereby fills them with a joyful spirit. Dance can be in any form- classical, jazz, Salsa etc. But in India, if any form of dance is very much appreciated, then it is the dance form called –Bollywood.
A famous dancer and choreographer – Ashok D Star, from Faridabad District of Haryana, decided to dance with the most number of people to break the record of “Biggest Bollywood Dance’. There are various dance centres at Faridabad, which trains many people, but among them there is a special and rare dance centre namely ‘Ashok Dstar & Group’ that has taken an initiative to organize a unique dance class to provide a platform for people to be known to the world.
He had a group of 36 trainees under him who had gone to almost 40 schools in and around Faridabad and trained the students according to the dance steps. The final dance was held at Dr. Karamvir Singh Public School situated at sector 11-D, Faridabad, on December 12, 2012. In this Biggest Bollywood Dance, thousands of students from various schools were expected to participate together and become the attraction of the general public through media for being the part of this unique dance.
An excited India Book of Records adjudicator reached the venue of the massive record attempt on the early morning hours of the auspicious day- December 12, 2012, amidst the amazing gathering, just to have a glimpse of the feat that was to be attempted by an already excited Ashok Dstar. The adjudicators counted the number of people present at the venue to be a part of the grand event. The count of people present at the venue was a whopping 4,975.
In the presence of the huge gathering of dignitaries and the India Book of Records adjudicator, the people started dancing, swaying themselves according to the rhythm of he song and following the steps of their own trainers. It was a very beautiful experience of a crowd of people moving their hands and heads in the same direction. The outcome of the 4:32 minute long attempt was the a total of 4,975 people dancing to the tune of the super-entertaining song ‘Sadda Haq’.
After the beautiful record completion, there was a brief performance by the dancers to keep the spectators and the adjudicators still in the mood of he record.
India Book of Records took the greatest pride in adding another feather to its record book in he form of Ashok Dstar and his able choreographers. It would never have been a easy task for the choreographer alone to make this attempt a successful one. Congratulations to Ashok Dstar, his choreographers, the organizers, the schools and the students for making this such a hit!
