World Art Day 2026 Feat. India Book Of Records

“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.” — Pablo Picasso

Every year, the birth of world renowned artist, Leonardo da Vinci, is celebrated as the World Art Day, on April 15. This year’s theme for the day is – “A Garden of Expression: Cultivating Community Through Art”, emphasising on the power of art to connect people, foster community, and celebrate diverse creative expressions. And that’s what the India Book of Records believes in.

We have, in the last 20 years, registered hundreds of fabulous artists and their artworks, creating a community of creative minds and a space where different forms of arts are recognised and appreciated. There are instances when people have come together to collaboratively create a gigantic artwork. Also, there are artworks whose beauty can be properly appreciated, only when viewed from a certain perspective. Over all these years, we have had the opportunity to witness the rise of talented budding and professional artists making their art immortal in our record books.

On the occasion of World Art Day 2026, we have listed some of such spectacular records. Let’s have a look!
